The province of Inhambane, and in particular the Districts of Morrumbene and Homoine located in the South-East region of Mozambique, are very isolated rural areas with a population of 282,236 people who can hardly have the essential services for a dignified life. but only 2 health centers that are up to 90 km away from some village communities.
In such a dramatic situation, access to drinking water is also extremely compromised: coverage of the water network is very poor and water sources are 1 for every 956 inhabitants.
