ALBANIA

Albania is a nation rich in water, but the social, political and economic context are not structured in such a way as to guarantee an adequate distribution and supply of drinking water, especially in more peripheral rural contexts. Often the resident population is forced to travel about 2 km on foot or with donkey, even several times a day to get water. We began operating in the country in 2016 with the Acqua per Kujitum project, creating a "drop" aqueduct using a water source 7 km away and located at a higher altitude than the village which facilitated access to the resource. water, guaranteeing micro economic development and better sanitary conditions, limiting depopulation towards more developed inhabited centers.
