RWANDA

Rwanda is the country where we have been operating since 1987 with development projects in the sectors of Water, Food Security and Childhood. Our aqueducts continued to supply Clean and Safe Water to the population even during the terrible events of 1994, the year of the Rwandan genocide.

Even today in rural areas almost one in two people get spore water from old aqueducts far from home or, worse, from streams in the valley where the water is dirty and contaminated and is the main source of diseases such as malaria and dysentery. The first aqueduct was in Muhura in 1987 and supplied 40,000 people with water, which was followed by rehabilitation in 2003.

We offer support in Daistanza to two structures: the Izere Center and the Mother of Providence Primary School and Nonna Amelia kindergarten.
